Today, at 15:35 (UTC+1) on 25 November 2019, we made our final /22 IPv4 allocation from the last remaining addresses in our available pool. We have now run out of IPv4 addresses.

RIPE NCC IPv4 Address Space Chart

The third in our series of country reports is now available. We have published the RIPE NCC Germany Country Report!

The RIPE NCC General Meeting took place from 16-18 October 2019.

On 16 October 2019, at the RIPE 79 Meeting in Rotterdam, Axel Pawlik announced that he would step down as Managing Director of the RIPE NCC. Axel's announcement comes 20 years to the day since he joined the organisation.

There are two confirmed candidates for the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) election that will be held at RIPE 79.

Today we allocated the last of our contiguous /22 IPv4 address blocks. We still have approximately one million addresses available, in the form of /23s and /24s, and we will continue making /22-equivalent allocations made up of these smaller blocks. Once we can no longer allocate the equivalent of a /22, we will announce that we have reached run-out. We expect this to occur in November 2019.

The Draft RIPE NCC Activity Plan and Budget 2020 is now available for review.

We currently have around 1.91 million IPv4 addresses remaining in our available pool. We expect to reach the end of this pool in the next few months, before the end of 2019. The exact date is not possible to predict as this depends on the rate at which new members/additional LIR accounts are opened.
