The RIPE Community
RIPE is a forum open to everyone interested in the operation of the Internet. Since 1989, it has brought together people and communities to share information and ideas, discuss best common practices, and carry out technical coordination work.
More local peering, stronger routing security and a shared ambition to improve connectivity: CAPIF 5 brought Central Asia’s Internet community to Dushanbe to compare progress, discuss persistent challenges and learn from the people building the region’s networks.
We’re redesigning the My Resources page in the LIR Portal to help RIPE NCC members better understand and manage their Internet number resources. Clearer hierarchies, automated checks and practical guidance aim to make it easier to see what needs attention and keep registrations up to date.
As sweeping regulatory files move through the legislative pipeline, co-legislators are actively shaping their positions in the European Parliament and Council. Meanwhile, the Commission keeps laying the groundwork for new initiatives ahead. Here’s our latest overview of key regulatory developments that are relevant to the RIPE community.

About the RIPE NCC
We're an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation that supports the infrastructure of the Internet through technical coordination in our service region. Our most prominent activity is to act as the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) providing global Internet resources and related services (IPv4, IPv6 and AS Number resources) to members in our service region.
Our membership consists mainly of Internet service providers (ISPs), telecommunication organisations and large corporations located in Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia.
We also provide services for the benefit of the Internet community at large.
