We would prefer to make a joint announcment with you all for many
reasons - mostly because we see this as an ongoing collaboration.
In fact, Laurent hopes that Marten and he can work together to modify
prtraceroute to work with the new whoisd (just one example).

So we will hold off until you are thinking straight.  We would like to
talk about this at IEPG and IETF in an informal way, and inidcate that
we are still in the initial stages and will make a formal announcment
soon.

Seems there is a lot to be done - probably lots we haven't even thought
of - hope whatever the hurdle is it is surmountable.
