  Only if you are not subscribed to the list. And those postings have to
  be approved manually, anyway, if I recall correctly.

  To my knowledge all NCC lists are set to _NOT_ exclude the sender's
  address from the set of "distribution to" addresses.

  I usually check that I receive my message(s) coming back from the
  list(s) to my inbox.
