Dear colleagues,
reading the last thread about solutions to spam I was really disappointed
to see how many people still do not get the right picture, or have
simplistic opinions about the e-mail system, how the IETF works, the
meaning of protocols, RFCs etc...
Please, be serious. The SPAM is a problem and we need serious solutions to
face it. This includes adequate legislations (and working with the
relevant authorities in each possible country is a MUST for any serious
ISP and researcher), and adequate technical countermeasures.
Sorry, but I can just suggest anybody wishing to give a serious
contribution to visit:
http://www.irtf.org/charters/asrg.html
which is the corrrect study group, forum etc who is facing the problem
quite seriously now. Anybody wishing to contribute, is welcome.
Regards,
