RIPE NCC Access (Single Sign-on)
All services that the RIPE NCC offers are supported by RIPE NCC Access.
Two-factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2fA) is now mandatory for all RIPE NCC Access accounts. You can get step-by-step instructions on how to enable 2FA for your account here.

RIPE Database
The RIPE Database web-based user interface is available to all users. However, in order to make updates you will need to be logged in with your RIPE NCC Access Single Sign-On (SSO) account.
We strongly advise you to associate your organisation's mntner object with your RIPE NCC Access account because:
- When authenticated you will get a seamless experience across the entire website
- You will be able to easily update your organisation's objects using the web interface
- You can recover a lost password yourself, without needing to contact the RIPE NCC
- You will be able to use two-factor authentication
If you try to update an object through the web interface and your SSO account is not associated with the maintainer for the object, and the maintainer has an MD5 password, then we will prompt you to add your SSO account to this maintainer.
In other cases the maintainer will need to be updated through another mechanism. You can read more on how to set up maintainers.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
