Ways to Get Involved

Register

Visit the registration page to check your eligibility and find out how to attend and vote at the GM.

Stay informed

  • NCC Announce: Make sure you're subscribed to the NCC Announce mailing list. This is where we send GM information and news. We tag all GM announcements with: [GM].
  • RIPE NCC news: Check the RIPE NCC news section of the website for updates on upcoming General Meetings, documents and deadlines.
  • Social media: We also post updates about the GM on our social media channels.
  • Personalised email: We send you an email about the upcoming GM from a ripe.net email address - make sure we don't end up in your junk.

Review the agenda

  • Meeting Documents: Before the meeting, review the agenda, resolutions and other supporting documents provided by the RIPE NCC.
  • Member Discussion: Engage in discussions on the RIPE NCC members-Discuss mailing list, start discussions, ask questions or raise concerns.

Attend the General Meeting

Onsite attendance

You can attend the General Meeting in person in Prague.

  • The GM will take place at Clarion Congress Hotel Prague in the Main Room.
  • You will need to register to attend the GM before 30 October 2024 at 14:00 (UTC+1).
  • You MUST pick up a GM attendee sticker from the GM Help Desk next to the RIPE 89 Registration Desk.
  • Without a sticker, you will not be able to enter the room.

Online attendance

  • Members can attend the GM online through the meeting platform Meetecho.
  • If you have registered, you will receive a link to Meetecho after 12:00 UTC+1 on 30 October before the GM begins.
  • The Meetecho platform allows you to watch the presentations, ask questions and chat to fellow members.
  • You will also receive a link to the livestream too.

Voting process

Electronic voting

  • You must register to vote before Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 14:00 (UTC+1).
  • Votes are cast electronically through the voting platform Assembly Voting.
  • If registered, you will receive two emails after the Chair declares voting open at the GM.
  • The emails will contain the links and codes you need to enter the voting platform.

Proxy voting

  • If you have appointed a proxy, they will vote on your behalf. You can request a proxy vote until Wednesday, 16 October 2024.

Voting results

  • The voting results will be announced at the end of the General Meeting on Friday, 1 November 2024 at 10:30 (UTC+1) in the Main Room onsite.
  • Use the same Meetecho GM link or livestream to view the announcement online as you used to watch the GM meeting on 30 October.
  • The voting report is published on the RIPE NCC website shortly after the meeting concludes.

Minutes

The draft minutes are published two working days after the end of the General Meeting.

  • All RIPE NCC members have the right to object to the General Meeting draft minutes, as per section 19.4 of the Articles of Association.
  • We provide a GM Draft Minutes Objections System which is made available when the draft minutes are published.
  • If no objections are made, the final minutes are published three weeks after the draft is published.

Archive

The archives are available after the GM to watch and view including the presentations, livestream videos, chat logs and stenography transcripts.
