RIPE NCC Roundtable Meeting September 2009
The RIPE Government Roundtable Meeting took place on Monday, 21 September 2009 at the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel.
- 47 people registered from 18 different countries.
Roundtable meetings keep governments and regulators informed on current issues surrounding the governance and operation of the Internet as well as providing guidance on participation in the development of policies.
At the September 2009 meeting, participants heard about:
- Preparations for the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Sharm El Sheikh
- Developments in measuring and encouraging IPv6 deployment
- Plans for a Law Enforcement Task Force
Attendance at Roundtable meetings is limited to representatives of government and regulators in the RIPE NCC service region.
