5. Selection Criteria

The SEE Fellowship aims to increase diversity within the SEE Meeting. It provides individuals from underrepresented regions or minority backgrounds, or others unable to attend without funding, the opportunity to participate in the meeting. With this in mind, the internal selection committee will evaluate all submissions and make a selection.

The committee will give preference to candidates able to demonstrate the strongest motivation to attend the meeting. In addition, the committee will aim to achieve:

  • a good geographical spread among successful candidates
  • diversity of stakeholder groups and interests
  • gender balance
