Training Courses

We invite you to attend our upcoming training courses in Sofia, Bulgaria taking place from 9 - 11 April 2025.

RIPE NCC members can register for any or all of these courses for free.

Training course IPv6

LIR Training Course

The LIR Training Course is a one-day introduction to the RIPE NCC's administrative procedures and RIPE Policies related to obtaining and distributing Internet resources (i.e. IP addresses, AS Numbers and reverse DNS delegation) and operating a Local Internet Registry (LIR). The course includes a basic introduction to the RIPE Database.

You should attend this training course: if you are a staff member of a Local Internet Registry (LIR) in the RIPE NCC service region.

Advanced IPv6 Training Course

The Advanced IPv6 training course is a two-day course that covers IPv6 topics relevant to a network infrastructure. Topics include implementing IPv6 in routing protocols like OSPF or BGP, content delivery over IPv6, mobile networks, transition mechanisms or host configuration scenarios. Hands-on labs are also provided. You should attend this training course if you are part of the staff of a Local Internet Registry (LIR) and if you:

  • Have basic knowledge of IPv6 and want to learn more about implementing IPv6 in a network infrastructure
  • Are interested in deploying IPv6
  • Have experience with IPv4 routing, OSPFv2 and BGP for IPv4
  • Want to learn more about IPv6 transition mechanisms
