It’s been a decade since the World IPv6 Launch Day was held, and we’ve seen a slow but steady growth in the use of IPv6. Across the world, governments are increasingly aware of the need to make services available over IPv6 and promote its use. However, adequate knowledge remains a blocker to transition to IPv6.
The RIPE NCC and the Dutch government recently cooperated and ran a pilot project to address this. In this Open House, Robin Gelhard of Forum Standaardisatie spoke about the challenges they face in managing the IPv6 transition. Carlo P.L. Ciciriello, of Learning Connections, spoke about his endeavours to build IPv6 skills in collaboration with partners from the industry.
