L. Aaron Kaplan
Aaron studied computer science and mathematics in Vienna, Austria. After
13 years as a freelance programmer, he joined CERT.at in 2008 where he
was responsible for setting up the first national CERT in Austria.
Between 2014 and 2018, he served on the board of FIRST.org (the global
forum for incident response and security teams).
He is one of the two co-founders of the open source incident response
automation framework https://intelmq.org/ as well as the wireless
community mesh network https://www.funkfeuer.at (AS35492) based in Vienna.
Aaron has been leading incident response automation at the European
Commission CERT (EC-DIGIT-CSIRC) since 2020.
