Request a /24 Allocation via the Waiting List
While we have run out of IPv4 addresses, RIPE NCC members can still request a single /24 allocation (256 addresses). These requests are added to a waiting list and processed when we recover IPv4 addresses in the future.
To make an IPv4 request, you will need to become a member of the RIPE NCC. Existing members can only submit a request if they have never received an IPv4 allocation from the RIPE NCC before (of any size).

(authentication required)
What You Will Need
Before you can request an IPv4 allocation, you need to complete the process to become a RIPE NCC member and open your Local Internet Registry (LIR) account. As part of this process, you will create a secure RIPE NCC Access account that allows you to request IP addresses and AS Numbers and maintain your LIR's information.
The Steps You Will Need to Take
Complete our IPv4 Request Form by clicking the button above. We will ask you to provide some information in the request form:
- The people with responsibility for your LIR and your number resources (admin-c and tech-c contacts) and a maintainer object (mntner) that prevents other people from changing your registration information in the RIPE Database
- Confirmation that you will use the addresses to make assignments
- Confirmation that the addresses will be used on a network with an active element in our service region
An IPv4 request generally takes around one working day to complete, though this might take longer if we need additional information from you.
Do You Need More Than a /24?
Some organisations with unused IPv4 addresses may be willing to transfer them to others (usually for a price). While we have no interest in any financial aspects, we do play a role in processing the transfer and updating the registration information. You can find more information on IP address and ASN transfers in the relevant section.
Request Evaluation
We will evaluate your request according to the applicable RIPE policies and RIPE NCC procedures. We will also check against the EU sanctions list – if you or your organisation is found to be under sanctions, the resources request will not be approved.
