RIPE Working Group Chairs
Each RIPE Working Group (WG) is chaired by two or three members of the community. They have some clearly outlined responsibilities to ensure that the goals and charters of their working groups are met. The chairs are responsible for moderating discussions on the mailing lists, chairing Working Group sessions and for declaring whether consensus is reached on a policy proposal.
WG Chairs can also receive support from the RIPE NCC such as secretarial support to carry out their functions, and if required, financial support to attend RIPE Meetings. Working Groups regularly ask for new candidates to step forward as co-Chairs. If you are considering standing as a co-Chair, refer to the guide for new Working Group Chairs or take a free online course in the RIPE NCC Academy to get a clearer picture of what is expected in this essential role for the RIPE community.
