RIPE NCC Holds Meeting for Ukrainian Law Enforcement

During the meeting our staff gave an overview of the Internet ecosystem and explained the role of RIPE and the RIPE NCC. We also outlined the RIPE Policy Development Process (PDP) and demonstrated how RIPEstat could be used to help law enforcement. The second day was focused around querying the RIPE Database to access publicly available registration information and included hands-on training.

This is the first LEA meeting the RIPE NCC has run in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region. 26 representatives from various Ukrainian LEAs attended the meeting.
