RIPE 90 Registry Highlights
At RIPE 90, Hans Petter Holen presented the Registry highlights from last year and welcomed Gabor de Wit as the new Chief Registry Officer.
RIPE Policy Development Update
New RIPE Policy Proposal, 2025-01, "ASN assignment criteria revisited" is now available for Discussion.This proposal aims to simplify requirements for new ASNs, while ensuring that the requirements are enforceable in practice and preventing the exponential exhaustion of 32-bit ASN space.

Policy proposal 2024-02, "IPv6 Initial Allocations /28 ", is now in the Review PhaseThis proposal aims to change the initial IPv6 allocation size from /29 to /28 and allow one IPv6 allocation extension per member to /28 without justification.

New RIS-Based Looking Glass Now Available in RIPEstat
The RIPEstat team has launched a new RIS-based Looking Glass, designed to make it easier to explore routing data across all RIS peers. You can access the Looking Glass from the left-hand menu at stat.ripe.net.
Join the RIPE NCC User Research Pool
We are currently looking for community members and users who are willing to take part in user research. This research helps us understand how people use our platforms and where we can make improvements to make them more intuitive, accessible and user-friendly.

RIPE 90 Concludes Successfully in Lisbon

Draft “RIR Governance Document” consultation closes on Tuesday, 27 May
Submit your input on the Draft “Governance Document for the Recognition, Maintenance, and Derecognition of Regional Internet Registries” by Tuesday, 27 May on the RIPE Discussion list. The consultation opened on 14 April 2025. Read more about the document.

4. Organisational Update
Results from the General Meeting
The RIPE NCC General Meeting May 2025 took place from 14-16 May 2025. A total of 1,039 votes were cast, and the voting results were announced on Friday, 16 May 2025. Ondřej Filip and Randy Bush were elected to the Executive Board, and members voted on nine resolutions which were all approved, including the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2026. RIPE NCC Launches New Trust Portal
We have launched a new Trust Portal at trust.ripe.net to provide greater transparency into our operations and to help members and stakeholders better understand how we manage our security, compliance and governance:
