Domain Name Security Review
In the last few days, a number of articles have drawn attention to the security of critical Internet infrastructure.
A recent article on DNS hijacking attacks, for instance, reports that the domain names of some important organisations have been compromised in an attempt to misdirect traffic.
At RIPE NCC, we have reviewed our systems and processes, and we believe that there has been no compromise of any of our systems.
In performing this review, however, we identified certain areas of improvement, and we are taking steps to increase security by strengthening the relevant aspects of our infrastructure.
