Hey Randy, Typically these sticks have a wear levelling algorithm. My best guess would be that filling the stick with garbage would cause it to reallocate any failed blocks on the flash memory and substitute them with working blocks. How well/long that will last depends on the amount of writes to disk, the amount of ‘good’ sectors available and the quality of the wear levelling algorithm. But as said, its a guess.
