dfk, as researchers, we have found atlas probes useful if the experiment is calibrated and the probes are used very carefully. thanks to the atlas folk at the ncc. but note the symptomatic recent discussion between the atlas team and thomas holterbach. research experiments, like much of life, have time constraints. propagation of bug fixes and changes to the measurement model seriously impact the usability. randy
