[Apologies for duplicate e-mails] Dear RIPE NCC member, In compliance with the RIPE NCC Articles of Association, the RIPE NCC is calling for nominations to the RIPE NCC Executive Board. The two vacant seats are for three-year terms and are to fill the places currently held by Janos Zsako and Nigel Titley, whose terms expire in May 2007. Voting for the appointment of the RIPE NCC Executive Board members will take place at the upcoming RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM). The GM will be held on Wednesday, 9 May 2007 at the Sokos Hotel Viru in Tallinn, Estonia. Please submit your nominations prior to Wednesday, 18 April 2007, following the guidelines outlined in article [7] of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association. Excerpts from the Articles of Association are available at the end of this e-mail. If you have any questions about the GM, please e-mail us at: agm at ripe.net Best regards, Axel Pawlik Managing Director RIPE NCC Excerpts from the RIPE NCC Articles of Association: Article [7.1] The executive board of the association shall consist of at least three and at most five natural persons. They shall be member of the board in a personal capacity and do not have to be members of the association. Employees of the association cannot be appointed member of the executive board. Article [7.2] The members of the executive board shall be appointed by the general meeting from a list of nominees to be drawn up by the members. A nomination for the appointment of a member of the executive board shall need the written support of at least five members. If three weeks before the general meeting the number of candidates does not exceed the number of vacancies, the executive board shall have to nominate one or more candidates so that the total number of proposed candidates shall exceed the number of members of the executive board to be appointed by the general meeting. Article [8.3] The membership in the executive board shall become effective at the end of the general meeting at which the member is appointed and shall automatically terminate at the end of the annual meeting in the third calendar year after the year in which the member was appointed.
