I can totally understand your unhappiness.  But think for a moment why
you can have a /22 *at all* - because we made other people unhappy in
the last few years, who wanted to have that space, and we told them
"no!  this is reserved for the small guys who start up their business
next year, or the year after that".

This same rule applies now: you cannot have more than a /22 from the
RIPE NCC, so some other "white area ISP" can have a /22 next year.
