Backend storage for an LIR IP mgmt system

Hi all,

As you may remember from an earlier message. We are currently working on an
open source LIR IP address management tool and would like your feedback on
the following question.

What is the preferred choice of backing storage (database) for the IP
allocations and pertaining information?

We currently have implemented an XML2 backend and a Berkeley DB backend, and
intend to add LDAP (actually OpenLDAP)? Would anybody strongly want
something else? and why?
