Here are some of my thoughts, as bullet points in response to the discussons so far. TLD only or not: I favor TLDs and .arpa. Whether or not .apra and its children are signed in the wild, I think the TAR should aim to include those .arpa beasts. There's nothing wrong with redundancy -- it can even be useful. Publication format: I agree with Daniel: "As many as are required by the users." Multiple formats are good and I have no strong preferences re: dynamically queriable v. bulk only. (In particular, I'm not going to insist on DLV as a publication format.) Location: we should be talking about a service to be run by the NCC. Even if IANA does (or might someday) run such a service, redundancy is useful. Querying the repository: should NOT require any agreement. We don't want to create barriers to using it. -- Sam
