Re: DRAFT minutes Anti-spam WG RIPE 39 Bologna

I only want to note that ORDB are telling the untruth and they know it
(because I told them).

According to www.ordb.org: "ORDB.org is the Open Relay Database. ORDB.org
stores a list of machines which are open SMTP relays."

This is simply a lie. ORDB does not list OPEN relays, it lists NON-CLOSED
relays. This is a big difference.

My relays are neither OPEN nor CLOSED but they are listed on ORDB.

My relays are NOT OPEN as they do not permit to relay if you don't pay for
the service (as usual).

However they are NOT CLOSED either as they do permit to relay eMail of
unknown origin. This is accomplished that not payed mails are set "on hold"
until you pay your bill. Currently I charge 1 EURO per recipient you try to
reach. No SPAMmer ever paied, so the SPAM was not relayed. Note that the
bill automatically is payed by a friendly organization (me) if you happen to
use my relay for NON-SPAM.

However my relays are listed in the ORDB database because a friendly
organization (me) does regard "probing" of systems like ORDB to be no SPAM
and such my relays have an MX ruleset for ORDB/ORBS/anything. Also note
that probing my relays is regarded an abuse of the relay, and an abuse of
computers is a criminal offense here in Germany. Nevertheless the friendly
organization (me) still stays friendly even for systems like ORBS which
behave like criminals.

Please CC to me if you want that I don't miss your reply.
