Could some kind soul please poke me in the ribs and wake me up when
it is time for THAT discussion?  Because I really would like to
participate in that one.

In all of the apartments I've ever rented in my life, if you violated
the rules then you would be out on your ear in three days.

I've always felt that was fair and appropriate.
