Dear Nick, all Thank you for your email. In 2015 the RIPE NCC received only one request in response to which the RIPE NCC explained how to use the RIPE Database to find the appropriate details. None of the requests listed related directly to a request for follow-up training. The RIPE NCC has been engaged in discussions with LEAs and provides training courses with regards to the use of RIPE NCC publicly available tools when requested. Kind regards, Athina Fragkouli Head of Legal RIPE NCC On 12/04/16 13:17, Nick Shorey wrote: > This is some useful information Athina, thanks for sharing. > > Looks like LEAs are developing a much better understanding of what information RIPE NCC does not hold, but still an education requirement on using the database tools to identify information. > > Where requests were for publicly available information, did RIPE NCC receive follow up requests for future training in using the database tools? > > Nick > > Nick Shorey BA(Hons) MSc. > +44 (0) 7741 256 320 > nick at nickshorey.com > > On 12 Apr 2016, at 09:43, Athina Fragkouli <afragkou at ripe.net> wrote: > > Dear colleagues, > > The RIPE NCC has published a transparency report that details the nature of the requests we received from law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in 2015. > > https://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-664 > > Kind regards, > > Athina Fragkouli > Legal Counsel > RIPE NCC >
