Aha. Do I see this right that we have list members here who are clever enough to *exactly* know what will happen with network technology in the next 50 years propably because of some intuition given personally by Him to them ? And from the discussion it sounds like He told them to pray that every household should become a RIPE NCC member and thus IPv6 address space is in great danger. No math please, no facts, just *believe and pray* :-( Btw.: I estimate about <<1 Mio. households within the RIPE NCC region. Even if there is a /32 for each household, still <1/1000 part of the IPv6 address space is given up. And when using advanced routers of today, even a routing table with 1 Mio. entries would be *possible*. It would have some economical impact, yes, of course. But it is *possible*. Clearly within a 50 years range from now ;-) But I can tell you for sure that neither my parents nor my neighbour (pet doc.) will not open an ISP as home business and thus won't apply for RIPE NCC membership, thus 999998 table entries will be sufficient with the new gamma policy proposal.
