How to register for the General Meeting

You will need to register to attend and vote at the General Meeting.

The deadline to register to attend and vote is Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 14:00 (UTC+1).

The process for registering is quick and easy: 

  • Log into the RIPE NCC LIR Portal: my.ripe.net
  • In the left-hand navigation, click 'My LIR' > 'General Meeting'
  • Select the option to attend in person or online
  • Choose the organisation(s) you will represent
  • Click 'submit'
  • You will receive a confirmation email with your registration number

2FA Reminder

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is mandatory for RIPE NCC Access account holders. If you have not enabled 2FA and you click the registration link, you will need to follow the instructions in an email sent to you by the RIPE NCC. Once enabled, you will be able to access the LIR Portal to register.

Who can register for the General Meeting?

  • One person from each member organisation is entitled to register to vote at the General Meeting. 
  • The organisation must have been a RIPE NCC member for longer than six months.
  • If a member has multiple LIRs, voting rights are assigned to the primary LIR. To register to vote, you must be a contact person for the primary LIR.
  • The member must not have been suspended and must have full membership (with up-to-date fees paid).
  • Admin and Regular LIR Portal account holders may register to attend the GM (as well as those individuals as listed under 16.4 of the Articles of Association).
  • Those who have Billing user accounts and Guest user accounts in the LIR Portal cannot register to attend the General Meeting.

Who has the right to attend?

The RIPE NCC Articles of Association under article 16.4 state that:

The right to attend a General Meeting is limited to:

(a) in the case of a Member/natural person: the Member;

(b) in the case of a Member/legal entity: the natural person recorded as representative of said Member in the Register of the Association (see article 5);

(c) the employee(s) of the Member as stated in the notification referred to in article 16.3;

(d) an employee or director of the Member who submits proof before the commencement of the General Meeting that they are duly authorised to attend the General Meeting on behalf of the Member;

(e) a proxy as stated in the notification referred to in article 16.3;
