New Syntax Checker for the Routing Registries

Hi folks, the ALC daemon now accepts updates of the DB on the fly. As a side effect it can check the syntax of the objects (without registering them) peolpe submit. Is anybody interested in hacking dbupdate so it uses alcd to check the syntax instead of the syntax.pl stuff (C.f "This is the really ugly bit")? The yacc parser ALC uses is a lot more rebust than the perl code (IMHO). The protocol to talk to alcd is very simple, we just need to send the object description (<attribute>: <value> format) and look for error messages from alcd. Laurent PS: maybe i should have sent my mail to /dev/null directly? :) -------- Logged at Thu Jun 23 21:24:15 MET DST 1994 ---------
