* * The "-h <hostname>" parameter seems to work, and Andy says it is easy to * modify the destination in your setup file. An environmental variable *migh * t* * be useful. (?) If these are being changed anyway, how about a "port" flag * for * use with debug whois servers. Other ideas? Okay for a quick help - I made a version of prtraceroute which has a [ -p alternate-whois-port ] option and also looks for the environemt variables WHOIS-PORT and WHOIS-HOST. The command line swiches override the variables. I made a drop-in shar for you. You can get this from mature.ripe.net:tony/prtraceroute.shar You cant 'dir' in there but the file exists. I will make this more permanant and fix man pages, etc for the pride distribution when in the office ;-) Cheers, --Tony. Usage: ./prtraceroute [-v] [-l] host Other: [-d] [-m maxhops] [-q nqueries] [-w waittime] [-h whoishost] [-p alternate-whois-port] -------- Logged at Wed Feb 23 10:11:39 MET 1994 ---------
