Cengiz is right, this would only work if you are using the RIPE
software. And then even, the public ftp file and the real database
file may be on different machines (which will be the case at the NCC
when we switch to our new database server)..... You may suggest to
open anon ftp on this database machine just for this reason, but there
may be security/access implications.
