In considering the verification of Route Object ownership for route acceptance policies, please consider organisations which implement temporary BGP announcements for traffic diversion for uses like DDoS Mitigation. The AS may be registered with an RIR which is not the same as the RIR of the Route Object. Plus there must continue to be a means to have more than one entity pre-authorised to announce any particular Route Object, or subnet thereof.
