A minor correction here:

"During the presentation, when Danny mentioned that 97 percent of the  
received updates are duplicates, Greg Sheppered asked if he was  
talking about duplicate paths or duplicate prefixes.:

97% of the updates are exact duplicates during the busiest
0.01% of churn.  It's more like 34% on average.
