This is one of those cases where there are 3 solutions which all have their pro's and con's, and where neither one is better than any of the others. The only way out is that somebody makes a decision to pick one and accept that people in favor of the other solutions will be unhappy for a while, before they realize that they'll have to live with it. Right now, the time doesn't seem right yet to make this decision, so I guess that we'll have to live with this situation for a while.
