[Apologies for duplicates] Dear Colleagues On 1 January 2007, we began assigning 4-byte Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs). We need to modify the Routing Information Service (RIS) and RIS raw data dumps to include these in its output. You may need to update any tools that parse RIS output. We will switch one Remote Route Collector (RRC) to 4-byte ASN supporting software on 27 March 2007, somewhere between 09:00 and 13:00 (UTC). We plan to switch the other RRCs to 4-byte ASN supporting software on 28 March 2007, between 09:00 and 17:00 (UTC). Details of the changes to the RIS can be found at: http://www.ripe.net/projects/ris/docs/asn.html If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to <ris at ripe.net>. Regards, Erik Romijn Information Services Department RIPE NCC
