Hi Henk, Which training? I assume we were talking Vesna and Arno here. Did they explain figure under section "Creating Alarms"? "In other words, assuming that the first event was caused by a misconfiguration and thereafter immediately withdrawn, the default values imply that myASn will notify the user when the same happens again up to one hour after the first incident. Please note that these values are configurable." http://www.ripe.net/projects/ris/docs/myasnhelp.html Cheers, Matthew > -----Original Message----- > From: ris-int-admin at ripe.net [mailto:ris-int-admin at ripe.net] > On Behalf Of Henk Uijterwaal (RIPE NCC) > Sent: 04 November 2004 16:43 > To: ris-int at ripe.net > Subject: [ris-int] Input to the NCC from courses (fwd) > > > Hi all, > > In the report from the training team on courses given, there was this > comment: > > MyASN: several people stopped using it because the info was a bit > shaky, according to them, not all events that should > trigger messages > did actually trigger messages. > > I asked who the "several people" were: > > >and we actully have the names of people who said this: > > > >paolo moroni, ch.cern > >steven.glogger at ch.easynet.net > > > >i think.. > > Matthew: can you get in touch with them and ask what they > think is going wrong? > > > Henk > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------- > ---------------- > Henk Uijterwaal Email: > henk.uijterwaal(at)ripe.net > RIPE Network Coordination Centre > http://www.amsterdamned.org/~henk > P.O.Box 10096 > Singel 258 Phone: +31.20.5354414 > 1001 EB Amsterdam 1016 AB Amsterdam Fax: +31.20.5354445 > The Netherlands The Netherlands Mobile: +31.6.55861746 > -------------------------------------------------------------- > ---------------- > > In a room with a window in the corner, I found truth. > (Ian Curtis) > > >
