Rob:
I infer from the various messages that have followed the latest RIPE
hostcount that there is some interest in the networking plans of the
JANET community. The message below describes one of the things that has
been done. There are others in hand and being considered. If you like,
I'll be happy to give a short talk at the next RIPE meeting about our
plans, and the challenges we are facing. Some of these challenges are
unique to our community (or are you running 'yellow book' too? :-), but
others are I think general.
Anyway, I'd rather give a talk than enter into discussions on the
mailing list.
Comments welcome,
Phil

As of yesterday, most of the JIPS backbone now runs native IP at 34Mb/s;
the first steps towards something I'm sure !
