Dear colleagues, The RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund opened its call for applications in March 2023. The application period was open for just over 12 weeks, and 54 applications from 26 different countries were submitted to the Selection Committee. The RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund Selection Committee has reviewed the applications and is happy to announce that the following six projects have been selected as the 2023 recipients of the RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund. Congratulations to the selected projects: - Tobias Fiebig - measurement.network: Organising active measurements - Ioana Livadariu - SubZero: Monitoring the deployment impact of the submarine cable system - Fondation Université de Strasbourg - Designing the next generation of public BGP route collection infrastructures - Blueprint for Free Speech - Community Canary: One of the first community projects trying Tor's Rust implementation Arti - DACS, University of Twente - Anycast Discovery: Daily mapping the Anycast landscape for enhanced Internet resilience - Netnod AB - Secure time for IoT devices: developing the Roughtime proposed standard Read more about these projects: https://www.ripe.net/support/cpf/funding-recipients-2023 We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Jaya Baloo, Flavio Luciani, and Samaneh Tajalizadehkhoob, the Selection Committee members who are stepping down, for their invaluable contributions and dedicated service to the committee. Their expertise and commitment have significantly enriched the process, and their impact will be felt in the projects selected. With their departure, we are opening a call for volunteers to join the Selection Committee. This is an excellent opportunity for community members to contribute to the evaluation and selection of projects that aim to enhance the Internet infrastructure and services within the RIPE NCC service region. The call for volunteers will be open from Friday, 3 November to Thursday, 30 November. We encourage interested individuals to come forward and continue the exemplary work of the departing committee members in supporting meaningful community projects.
