I want to point you out to the _existing_ real-world consequences, and career-endings that already happened for many of the participants in technical communities (including RIPE) because of the behaviors that CoC is trying to prevent or deal with. Many *women* leave tech industry because of abuse, or micro-aggressions. We are missing out on the contributions by persons of color, young people, "people with thin skin"...
