APNIC doesn't have WGs, they have SIGs, but I guess the SIGs are 
"morale equivalents" in this context. 

Are you sure the SIG chairs at APNIC have all their expenses covered?
That's news to me. Perhaps you are referring to the APNIC EC chair?
