Hi Gerdriaan, Thanks for the detailed report, I will look into these items and get back to you soon. I'm not sure how they all relate, but it seems that the UI refuses to function properly when, at some point, you've received a message indicating: > > There was a problem with your request > Details: > 1. Executing this measurement request would violate your maximum daily spending limit of 1000000.0 credits. When "increasing the frequency" from 120 to 900 (terminology might be a bit off there as well) such that the daily spending limit is below 1M, the end date/time that was entered is forgotten. Consequently, submitting the measurement as is will generate a non-bounded measurement. > > Another "nag": when trying to set an end date/time, and clicking on today's date, the form refuses that input (the time is apparently automatically set to 00:00, which is typically before the current time), and sets the day to tomorrow instead. > > As it happens, imagine my surprise trying to create a repeating measurement for approximately 1 hour, but instead ending up with a non-bounded one. > > Best regards, > Gerdriaan Mulder > > PS. When you remove the default probe selection, such that no probes are selected, the UI keeps on nagging (i.e. warnings pop up at the top of the screen) about this when you're editing other fields. This is a really frustrating experience. How about changing that to a more simple "list of things to fix" just above the Create My Measurement(s) button and/or simply highlighting the field that would currently not pass form validation? > > On 13/03/2024 10.41, Stephen Suess wrote: >> Hello Atlas users, >> >> After an analysis of usage patterns in measurement creation, we have rolled out a couple of changes to the defaults in the measurement form (https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/form/ <https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/form/>): >> >> - Under timing, the default is now one-off (instead of periodic as before) >> - Default probe selection is now 50 random, worldwide probes (instead of 10 as before) >> >> We hope you find these useful.
