Dear Colleagues, We want to thank everyone who participated at the RIPE NCC Regional Meeting in Moscow last week. More than 380 people from nine different countries attended. A special thank you goes to the local host of this meeting, the Coordination Center for TLD RU. In addition, we would like to thank our sponsors: Cisco, MSK IX, RIPE NCC, RU Center and Technical Center of the Internet. Thanks also to the Program Committee, a group of volunteers, who put the program together. Short Meeting Report --------------------- The meeting was a big success, with tutorials, presentations and panel sessions on topics including DDoS Attacks, DNS Security (DNSSEC), Operations of Networks and Exchange Points, Regional Connectivity and Capacity, the Evolution of the Internet and IPv6 Deployment. During the meeting, it was proposed to further strengthen cooperation with the creation of a regional forum in which the region’s Internet experts could collaborate on issues unique to the Russian Federation, CIS and Eastern Europe. The RIPE NCC offered support and guidance and we are looking forward to facilitating this process. It was great to see so many people from the technical community coming together, in highly interactive meeting sessions with many heated debates that continued as lively conversations in the hallway. In the evenings, everyone was welcome to attend the informal social events. Presentations -------------- All presentations that were given will be archived in PDF format at: http://www.ripe.net/meetings/regional/moscow-2010/presentations.html We look forward to increased cooperation and coordination between the regional and international technical Internet communities. Best regards, Axel Pawlik Managing Director RIPE NCC Please feel free to share this email with your colleagues who may find it relevant.
