Developing, maintaining and operating the RIPE Database is part of the
core business of the RIPE NCC and has been since the start of the
company. They are a member based, service organisation, not a sales
company.

The RIPE NCC has been operating the RIPE Database as a very resilient
and high performance, professional service for many decades.
