Now this is starting to make sense. In which case I think we need to 
have a little reworking of the proposal.

Yes, and I'd like us to succeed. I think everyone here owes a great debt 
to the legacy holders (and bear in mind that I was one). Without their 
work we'd be wallowing in an OSI mess built on top of X25.
