Sure. If you are only person in the firm and only you need is to put document 
in copy machine (Xerox) or scanner.

In practice, getting a legal paper (any one, for example registration) from 
medium or large company (or just high-bueraucratic one) is near one month. Of 
course, the ball is in their side all that time and only I can is wait, 
but...

I don't ever think about translation time ;)

So for me I just ask for registration papers _before_ sending initial request 
for PI/AS, and often it is enough.
