[ncc-announce] [news] Update on Independent Investigation of Allegations by RIPE NCC Staff Member

Dear RIPE NCC members,

I want to give you an update on the independent investigation that we 
initiated in May this year into allegations of bullying of a RIPE NCC 
staff member by a member of the Executive Board.

In short, the investigation is still ongoing. We understand that people 
want to see a conclusion to the investigation, and we share that desire 
to see an outcome. However, the most important aspect of this matter is 
to have a fair and independent investigation that leads to the right 
outcome. Several legal issues and difficulties in arranging meetings 
with various parties over the summer have been the main causes of delay.

There will be no action taken until the independent investigation is 
complete. And to clarify, until we get an outcome from the 
investigators, no one is or will be placed under administrative leave or 
will be asked to step down from a position. We will follow the process 
we set out, and we will do everything we can to make sure the well-being 
and privacy of all parties is respected.
