Registry -- LIR Stats Number of LIRs: 23,625 (-59) Number of members: 20,402 (+33) LIRs with IPv6: 16,868 (-9) IPv4 addresses transferred in October: 921,780 (+169,652) 2. Information Services -- IPv6 Allocation to the RIPE NCC The RIPE NCC has requested an IPv6 allocation to use for its own infrastructure. The RIPE NCC pool of arbiters has decided, based on RIPE Policy Documents, that the request met the criteria for a /29 IPv6 allocation. Community and Engagement -- Community Projects Fund 2022 Recipients Announced The RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund Selection Committee has reviewed the 39 applications it received and has announced the eight projects that have been selected as the 2022 recipients: https://www.ripe.net/publications/news/announcements/ripe-ncc-community-projects-fund-2022-recipients-announced -- NRO NC Election October 2022 Result James Kennedy was re-elected to the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) during RIPE 85, held from 24-28 October 2022. James will serve a three-year term from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025: https://www.ripe.net/publications/news/announcements/nro-nc-election-october-2022-result -- Measures to Protect Ukrainian Networks At RIPE 85, the RIPE community discussed ways to further protect the resources of Ukrainian networks. A number of proposals were put forth.
