[ncc-announce] [news] Survey on Charging Scheme Principles and Open House Details

Dear RIPE NCC members,

The survey on principles the RIPE NCC should apply to its charging
scheme model will run until next Tuesday, 14 September. We kindly ask
all members who have not yet taken it to do so by the closing date. We
would also like to thank over 500 members who have so far participated.

Note: you will need to log in to a RIPE NCC Access account that is
associated with an LIR to complete the survey.

*Open House on Charging Scheme Principles*

We will also hold an Open House on the charging scheme principles on
Monday, 20 September at 12:00 UTC+2. Members of the Executive Board will
attend and there will be presentation of the survey results and further
discussion of the principles.

Dear RIPE NCC members,

As Chairman of the RIPE NCC Executive Board, I am asking that you assist
the Board in formulating the principles of the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme.
In May, we presented on this topic at the General Meeting (GM)[1], and
now we want to build on that discussion by consulting with you on the
core principles that we should incorporate in our charging schemes for
the coming years.

To that end, we ask you to complete a survey on the charging scheme that
will let us know where the membership stands on some key principles. We
expect that in some cases there will not be a clear answer, but we may
be able to identify some key principles that most members want to see us
apply to the charging scheme.

The survey is available to take until 14 September at:

We will also announce an Open House session in September where the Board
will be available to discuss the charging scheme model with members. The
Executive Board will examine the results of the survey at its Executive
Board meeting on 23 September. We will then bring our analysis and a
proposal to the membership at the GM in November.
