Dear colleagues, The RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund (CPF) supports projects working for the ‘Good of the Internet’ with a total fund of €250,000. We opened the call for applications in June 2021. The application period was open for just over six weeks and more than 20 applications were received. The RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund Selection Committee has reviewed the applications and is happy to announce that the following projects have been selected as the 2021 funding recipients. Congratulations to the selected projects: • CACert - Addition of CAcert's distributed web of trust to OpenID Connect • Guido Franken - Cryptofuzz • Glenn C McKnight - Virtual School of Internet Governance (VSIG) • Melchior Aelmans - Open Source TCP-AO (RFC 5925) implementation • KorLabs - Closed Resolver Project • Jacob Ayoki Driving School Ltd ICT Unit - Door Step Digital Skills and IT Freedom in Gboko • Greenweb Foundation - A Carbon-Aware Internet • NLnet Labs - Open and Scalable DNSThought Platform • Aaron Kaplan - Open Source automatic incident report handling and response tool for RIPE members. You can read more about the selected projects online: https://www.ripe.net/support/cpf/funding-recipients-2021 All projects funded through the CPF also share updates on RIPE Labs. You can find articles by previous recipients by using the ‘Community Projects Fund’ tag: https://labs.ripe.net/search/tag/community-projects-fund/ I would also like to thank the members of the Selection Committee for volunteering their time to support the RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund. Best regards, Alastair Strachan RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund Coordinator
