Dear colleagues, I want to update you on a situation that has developed with our colleague Alexander Semenyaka. As reported in Russian media, on 26 May, Alexander was detained by the FSB and ordered to leave the country. He is now in Ukraine with his family and we are in regular contact with him. Alexander has been temporarily suspended from his duties while we seek clarity on this issue. Our engagement efforts seek to bridge the knowledge gap between the technical community and government, regulators, and law enforcement. As a neutral organisation, we are committed to working with all stakeholders in our region to support Internet stability, including those in Russia and Ukraine. Regards, Hans Petter Holen Managing Director RIPE NCC
